When the Cancer Support Community Atlanta reached out to us about teaching a Flower Arranging workshop, we immediately said yes. There was an overwhelming response by their members and the workshop, taught by Kathy Walton, filled in a matter of days.
Now, several months later, our two organizations are thrilled to announce a unique partnership that will bring a variety of art programs to cancer patients and survivors in the Atlanta community.
Since then, Spruill Arts Instructor Rochelle Nation taught a Wire-Wrapped Stamped Bracelet workshop to almost twenty members. Several weeks ago, Instructor Amy Gresens taught a Scarf-Making workshop. Like all offerings at CSC Atlanta, classes are free of charge and available to anyone affected by cancer.
Their organization is such a valuable resource to those who are affected by cancer. Offering classes to their members supports our mission of bringing art into the community and we look forward to the possibilities of what our organizations can accomplish together. Stay tuned for more details about upcoming workshops!
