Storytelling Through Book Sculpture with Visiting Artist Hollie Chastain

In this 2-day workshop (10 AM-4PM each day), students will use rescued vintage books, paper, and a mix of other materials to build a fun, dimensional, mixed media piece! Blending collage techniques and assemblage, we will use the entire book in a project that will tell a story through the depth and shapes created. We will try multiple techniques so the possibility for multiple pieces is possible. Participants will then use a supportive substrate to mount one piece for framing which we will do in class. Open to all skill levels.
