Spruill Center for the Arts offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes for students in drawing, painting, and mixed media.

Drawing

If you can dream it, you can draw it! Using mediums such as charcoal, graphite, pastels and ink, learn drawing fundamentals including light, shadow, line, shape and composition. Explore portrait and figure drawing, understand perspective through landscape and still life drawing, or challenge yourself with narrative and concept drawing.

Painting

Mixed Media

Push your artistic boundaries and get creative in our mixed media classes!

Mixed media is a type of art in which multiple materials are used in the creation of a single work. Some examples of mixed media works include scrapbooks that combine photos with drawings or collected items, 3D sculptures made from an assemblage of different items, or collages.
