Finding Your Way with Clay - An All Levels Handbuilding

The basic tool kit available from The Spruill Art Center through the
instructor at the first class for $10 is a great start and may be all
the student needs to purchase, other than an assortment of brushes for
glazing.
Additional tools
may be purchased, if desired, and other sources for tools, like your
kitchen or garage, will be discussed in class.

Precious Metal Clay - An
Alternative Approach to Jewelry

PMC in several
forms will be available throughout the class from the instructor.
Expect to pay at least $100 depending on the scope of your
designs. Tool kits may be
ordered at the first class. Both a Basic Tool Kit
(includes rolling pin, wire brush, surgical knife, paint/slip brush,
shaper tool, 1 ˝” straight burnisher, awl, disposable knife and
jeweler’s tweezer) and a Premium Tool Kit
(includes soft grip utility knife, polyblade, cool roller & 4mm
spacers, shrinkage ruler, awl, #6 soft taper-point chisel shaper, brass
brush, 2 ˝” bent burnisher and paint/slip brush) will be available. Other
supplies may include a styrene board, playing cards, a couple of small spray
bottles and a pencil box.

Wheel Classes:
|
A basic set of throwing tools (including a wire clay
cutting tool, a needle tool, a wooden knife, a sponge and a
metal rib) is available for $10.00 from the instructor.
Additional individual tools and bats are also available for
purchase. Bring a towel to the first class.
