• Bristol Board Pad – Smooth Finish, 14” x 17”(Strathmore or Canson)

 

• Drawing Pad – Regular white paper drawing pad for sketching, 9”x12”

 

• Drawing Pencils – Wooden drawing pencils B, HB, and 2H(1 each)

 

• Mechanical Lead Holders – 2mm drafting, “clutch” style lead holders

 

• Leads – HB & 2H leads (tray of 12 or tubes of 2 from Berol or Staedtler)

 

• Non-Photo Blue Lead – Either 2mm for mechanical pencils or regular wooden pencil

 

• Black India Ink – Bottle of Higgin’s Black Magic, Dr. Martin’s Bombay or Speedball Black India Ink

 

• Pen Staff and Nibs – Pen staff and assortment of metal drawing nibs(Speedball pre-packaged sets are good – “General Purpose” or “Sketching”)

 

• Watercolor Brush – Genuine Sable brush is the best, # 1 or #2

 

• Sketching Pens – Assortment of sizes from fine to broad(Pigma Microns, Faber Castell PITT, Pilot, Prismacolor, and Chartpak AD are good)

 

• T-Square – Wood or metal at least 18”

 

• Masonite or Wooden Clipboard – at least 18” or larger

 

• Triangle – Inking edge 30/60/90 degrees, 10”- 12”

 

• White Artist’s Tape

 

• Pen White – For touch-ups(Dr. Martin’s Pen White, Bleed Proof White, or

      Pro-White)

 

* Optional Supplies – Basic Set of Prismacolor or Pantone Markers, Aimes Lettering Guide, and Elliptical Template
