Tannery South Leather Co.

One man, two hands, no machines. Meet Evan Keller of Tannery South Leather Co.  As a young boy Evan spent time in his Dad’s workshop learning, building and creating which, in turn, instilled his love for working with his hands. His passion for leather work developed many years later and mostly out of necessity. He needed a new leather wallet so he set out to make his own. Evan was so pleased with the results he decided to share his passion for excellent craftsmanship thus Tannery South Leather Co. was born.

Tannery South Leather Co. is about working hard and playing hard, having fun, and the simple things that make people happy. Evan strives for straight lines, memorable personal touches, and amazing customer service.  His goal is passionate customers for life, nothing less. Kim McGill Stuart

New to the holiday artists market is Spruill instructor Kim McGill Stuart with her beautiful encaustic creations. Kim focuses on blending encaustic wax with oil paint then uses a blow torch to bring swirling visions of textures and color to life. Her works are multidimensional pieces that serve to both enhance their surroundings and intrigue the viewer with colors and shades.

Kim’s more extensive background in assemblage and collage is what drew her to experiment with encaustic wax and that hallmark is seen throughout the collection as well. A cancer survivor, Kim expresses some of the strong feelings of pain and struggle, loss and wisdom that resulted, (and are beyond words), through her beautiful colorful and striking pieces.
