"HAND TO HAND: 100 ARTISTS’
COMMENTS ON THE IRAQ WAR"
Curator Cecilia Kane, working with over 100 artists,
translated news reports from the war inIraq into stunning and
sobering artworks using white cotton gloves as the connective
theme – one glove for each of the 1,825 days of the war.

The Breaking New Ground exhibition offers a look
into the influences that technology has on artists to develop new
and innovative ways to express themselves. Through painting, music
and interactive sculpture this show celebrates the use of technology
in art.

Spruill Gallery is proud to present an exhibition of
photographs by internationally acclaimed photographer Peter Magubane.
In celebration of the 90th birthday of former South
African President Nelson Mandela, this exhibition features
photographs spanning five decades and covers important milestones in
Mandela’s life as well as major moments in South African history
both pre and post-apartheid. The exhibition coincides with the
remembrance of the civil rights movement, 1956 – 1968.

Works in 2 & 3D by Spruill students and instructors, working
in their medium of choice; including paint, collage, paper,
clay, glass, metal, wood, jewelry design, cloth, found objects
or a combination of materials that best express their ideas on
the subject matter they choose.
