Events Calendar 2011 Events at the Spruill Center
Art Classes: are offered quarterly to all ages, from birth to seniors, and include a 10 week summer camp program. More then 200 courses are offered every quarter and the center registers about 7,000 students per year with 80% adults and 20$ children and teens. Disciplines include: Ceramics, Decorative Arts, Drawing, Glass Art, Jewlery, Metalsmithing, Mixed Media, Painting, Paper Arts, Photograpy, Sculpture and writing taught by professional and award winning teaching professionals.
Art Exhibitions: The Spruill gallery mounts five or more professional artis exhibitions every year, as well as a Holiday Artists Market that showcases work by almost 100 local and regional artists. The Educaiton Center hallway Gallery features exhibits of work by instructors and students throughout the year.
Outreach: Outreach programs range from creating art supplies kidts for hospitalized children at Childrens; healthcare of Atlanta to the amazing "Arts 4 Alzheiemrs program benefitting people who are living with Alzheimers Disease and their caregives. Groups of assited-living residents, as well as groups of socio-econicmically challenged youth benefit from tours of exhibitions at the Spruill Gallery.
