Events at the Spruill Center
are offered quarterly to all ages, from birth to seniors, and include a 10 week summer camp program. More then 200 courses are offered every quarter and the center registers about 7,000 students per year with 80% adults and 20$ children and teens. Disciplines include: Ceramics, Decorative Arts, Drawing, Glass Art, Jewelry, Metalsmithing, Mixed Media, Painting, Paper Arts, Photography, Sculpture and writing taught by professional and award winning teaching professionals.
The Spruill gallery mounts five or more professional art is exhibitions every year, as well as a Holiday Artists Market that showcases work by almost 100 local and regional artists. The Education Center hallway Gallery features exhibits of work by instructors and students throughout the year.
Outreach programs range from creating art supplies kids for hospitalized children at Children; health care of Atlanta to the amazing "Arts 4 Alzheimer's program benefitting people who are living with Alzheimer's Disease and their care gives. Groups of assited-living residents, as well as groups of socioeconomically challenged youth benefit from tours of exhibitions at the Spruill Gallery.
“Second Saturdays: An Open Air Artist Market” at Spruill Gallery is an excellent opportunity to showcase the talented artists associated with Spruill Center for the Arts. Instructors, Students, and Gallery Artists are invited to submit an application to participate.
This year the market will take place on the second Saturday of each month outdoors at the Spruill Gallery April through October from10am to 4pm.
