Arts 4 Alzheimer's Training for
Artist/Educators
Volunteer Training Sessions: Are you an
artist, designer, photographer, craftsperson, etc...then this is a
wonderful opportunity for you to learn to share your talents with
local residents who are living with Alzheimer's disease. Please
join us for a training session which is offered at the Spruill
Education Center quarterly. Once trained, you will be able to use
your talents to help people with Alzheimer's reconnect to their
inner selves and find new outlets for creative expression at the
classes on Friday.
Alzheimer's 101 Workshop
Caregivers, friends and family of people
diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease often feel helpless: How does
the disease affect the brain, the person? How will the disease
progress? What resources are available to help me cope?
These questions and more will be explained in a
non-medical, non-threatening environment. Free to the public and
held quarterly, the next workshop will be offered in Friday, October
8, 2010.
Please call for time. This program is presented jointly
by the Spruill Center for the Arts and the Alzheimer's Association.
Next Artist/Educator Training will be on
Thursday, October 14, 2010 - Please contact Tania Becker.
